Location

The Community Garden is located in the south-east section of Patricia Charron Park, closest to Patricia Street.

The civic address is 2637 Raymond St, Rockland, ON K4K 0B6.

Parking

The main parking lot is located on Raymond street. At this time, it requires a walk through the park on uneven grass terrain. All who are able, should park in the main parking lot.

There is limited street parking available on Patricia Street, at the garden's main entrance. At this time, it is requested that these spaces be saved for unloading and those requiring access via a gravel pathway.

Washroom

There is one portable toilet located at the Raymond street parking lot. It is available from the end of May to the end of October.

Accessibility Acknowledgement

The Rockland Community Garden is a labour of love and a work in progress.

We're still under development and will continue to adapt to achieve our vision of an accessible space for all community members who wish to participate.

We are actively working with the City of Clarence-Rockland to facilitate changes to the parking, entrances, and washroom access.

The facilities within our designated space were designed, built, and modified in collaboration with the Clarence-Rockland Accessibility Advisory Committee, members of the community, and through research.

While we continue to work towards accessibility, we acknowledge barriers may still exist. We encourage feedback and support for projects that will help improve access; however, we would like to highlight that this project is 100% volunteer-run and we are doing the best we can with the knowledge and supports we have.
